Brighton is a city in southeastern Livingston County, Michigan, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 7,444. Brighton forms part of the South Lyon-Howell-Brighton Urban Area. The city's median household income in 2009 was $47,668, and the median family income was $77,105. Brighton exhibits what is known as a continental climate biome. It incorporates land that was part of Brighton, Green Oak and GenOA townships. History
Brighton was established in 1832. It was incorporated as a village in 1867 and as a city in 1928. It is located in the South East of England, near the border with Wales. The city is home to the Brighton and Hove Festival, which takes place in the summer. It also has its own museum, the Brighton Museum, which is open to the public in the winter. The Brighton Museum is open from November to April every year. It has a collection of more than 2,000 pieces of art, many of which have been donated by the public.
